Whitehouse write House of Representatives stating support of St. Mary Canal repairs.

(St. Mary Dam) On Friday, The Executive Office of the President of the US wrote to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and specifically mentions it’s intention to work with congress to address the St. Mary Siphon failure.

In the letter, director of the US Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young wrote “The Administration is also committed to working with the Congress to address the recent breach of the St. Mary Canal Siphon near Babb, Montana”.

This comes on the heels of Senator Jon Tester and Senator Steve Daines putting pressure on the House of Representatives to pass a bill that would allocate funds for repairs and enrichments for the St. Mary Siphon.
