More Local Talent Shines at Big Sky Games

Continuing on with some more Big Sky Games results as there were some notable standouts and teams from the New Media Broadcasters listening area which did well.

The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team competed and ended up winning a volleyball championship.

11-year-old Andrew Lorang competed in Track and Field and was able to place in three events. The Havre native won the 1500 meters in the boys’ 10–11-year-old group, pacing the field with a time of 6:23:16. In that same age group, he scored a third-place finish in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 3:05:53. Finally, he finished sixth in the boys’ 400 meters, running a 1:30:11.

For arm wrestling, Annabell Lorang out of Havre took home two medals. She finished with bronze in both the youth left hand and youth right hand group.

In men’s master’s basketball, the team from Havre, Uncle Rico’s, took home a silver medal.

There were a couple of Chinook ice hockey teams which took home medals. The Pewee Hat Trick finished with a silver, while the Squirts Hat Trick took home a bronze medal.
