(Havre) The City of Havre Department of Public Works announced an alteration of the previous strict ban on all non-essential water use.
Effective August 5th, a limited non-essential water use restriction is instead in effect, which allows people to still water their lawns, just in a more conservative manner.
Residential lawn grass irrigation is permitted now based on where you live in the city relative to 5th avenue. If you’re east of 5th avenue, you may water your lawn between 7pm and 5 am on each Tuesday. If you’re west of 5th avenue, you may water your lawn from 7pm to 5am each Thursday.
Washing cars has also been allowed as necessary, with the city asking that people use buckets or spray nozzles to conserve water.
