The MSU-Northern rodeo team had some of its current riders compete at some fairs last week.
The WPRA Montana Circuit PRCA Northeast Montana Fair & Rodeo in Glasgow barrel racing competition saw former Chinook Sugarbeeter and rising Skylights senior Brittney Cox finished second in the field, completing the challenge in 17.71 seconds.
In the breakaway roping competition of that same rodeo, rising senior and College National Finals Rodeo participant Georgia Orahood finished in a tie for second place. As part of the feat, Orahood bagged $885.
Cox ended up going back home and competing in the PRCA Bear Paw Roundup Rodeo over the weekend, where she finished second in the barrel racing at an improved 17.64 seconds. The placing earned her $1,562 in cash prize winnings.
Congratulations to Skylights rodeo cowgirls Brittney Cox and Georgia Orahood for their outstanding showings in rodeos held across the Hi-Line last week.
