(Havre) MSU Northern Starts its classes up again this Wednesday, and New Media Broadcasters had a chance to catch up with MSU Northern Chancellor Greg Kegel to ask what advice he would give to new students attending their first semester of college.
“The best decision you’re ever going to make in your life is to continue your education. I’ve said that to my kids, I’m saying it to my grandkids, been saying it for 50 years to that young student; it’s an opportunity that comes easier when you’re younger. The longer you wait, the harder it is to get back”
Kegel also says that new this year is some improvements to the inner workings of a lot of the buildings, be that boilers, HVAC systems, or lights after the university received around $6 million in differed maintenance dollars. The legendary Pershing Hall also received $2.5 million in funding, and the University plans to use it to install an elevator in the campus’s oldest building.
August 21st is the official first day of school for MSU Northern students.
