(Lewistown) A new Veterans Affairs clinic is on its way to Lewistown, made official August 16th after the Veterans Health Administration awarded a contract for it’s construction worth 1.7 million dollars.
A release from the VA says that the new building will be sixty-one hundred square feet in size, making it nearly double the size of the existing clinic.
The VA further claims that there are 770 enrolled veterans in the Lewistown area that can use the new location as their closest VA facility.
The new building will be on Lot 3 off of Highway 87 West, and the VA says it will lease that building for at least 5 years after its completion, which is projected for the summer of 2026.
