(Lewistown) A release sent out by Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls says that the United States Air Force is planning to hold two town hall style meetings to provide up-to-date information on the Sentinel Program, which is in development at Malmstrom, with one set to take place in Lewistown.
The Fergus County Fairgrounds will be the spot for this meeting on September 4th, an additional meeting will also take place in Great Falls on September 5th.
The Sentinel project involves replacing all Minuteman III missiles that are currently deployed throughout central Montana with new ones: specifically, the titular Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile. In the process, the project will also modernize facilities, control centers, and other ground infrastructure, according to the release.
