The Montana State University-Northern Skylights fell (3-1) in their first home conference matchup versus Montana Tech on Thursday night at Armory Gym.
The Orediggers took the first two sets (25-19) and (25-18), but the Skylights responded by taking the third set (25-20) to avoid the sweep. However, could not keep it going to force a fifth set as Montana Tech took the fourth set (25-19) and the match along with it.
Alana Graves had 13 kills in 22 tries. Macee Murphy was just behind Graves recording 12 kills on 42 attempts. Jessalyn Chvilicek turned in 10 kills.
With the loss, the Skylights fall to 5-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play as their overall record dips to below five hundred for the first time since they dropped their season opener. They will look to rebound on Saturday as they head to Billings to face Rocky Mountain College. The match will start at 2 p.m.
