(Cut Bank) The Cut Bank Police Department said in a recent release that one of their officers was involved in a gun fight last Friday.
According to CBPD they originally received a phone call about a stolen vehicle, which was alleged to have been stolen by two juvenile males. After finding the vacant stolen car, the police say they then began a search for the two.
The police say that they were told through interviews that the juveniles had entered at least one vehicle, and are accused of stealing one handgun. A home resident discovered the two suspects going through their yard, and police say that when the resident checked on them one fired a handgun and struck the resident in the leg.
Police say that another homeowner was held at gunpoint by one of the juveniles until police arrived. The gunshot victim was transported to the hospital for their injuries and both suspects were taken into custody.
All this according to a release from the Cut Bank Police Department.
