The Chinook Sugarbeeter cross country teams made the 20-mile trip east to compete in the Harlem Invite on Friday. As a team, the Chinook boys took 7th place while the girls took 3rd place.
On the boys’ side, Landen Beck led the way with a 39th place individual finish clocking in at 20:10.2. Jefferson Nordboe took 45th place individually with a 20:38.7. That was followed by Xavier Ymzon’s 20:59.2 good for 49th individually and Gus Beck’s 21:34.2 to take 54th. Rounding out the Sugarbeeter boys is Dentin Depriest with a 24:18.8 good for 67th place.
Looking at the girls, Neva Lowe and Alexus Seymour turned in strong showings taking 3rd and 4th place individually respectively with a 19:47.7 and 20:35.7. Ivey Lenz clocked a 29:11 good for 31st individually.
Next up for Chinook cross country is the state meet in Missoula next Saturday. Runners that clocked a time faster than 25 minutes for boys and 30 minutes for girls in at least one meet this season will be eligible to take part in the state meet.
