(Havre) The Salvation Army held their monthly board meeting on October 23rd.
The majority of this meeting was talking about this years Red Kettle Campaign, specifically their strategy for placement of kettles and people to work them, with a planned start date of November 15th.
This year, the board says that they want to urge local businesses to host a countertop kettle, which would be an unmanned kettle that the store places in their business to ask for donations. If that isn’t possible, the Salvation Army also has donation QR codes that they will be asking businesses to hang up.
Salvation Army will also be asking anyone with spare time to volunteer in blocks of two hours to ring bells in front of staffed kettles, saying that those interested are welcome to bring their families with them to ring.
