(Havre) Those in town may have seen some groups holding displays showing their support for CI-128, which would be a self-described enshrinement of the right to abortion in the Montana Constitution if passed.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Johie Knight, co-canvasser with Montanans Securing Reproductive in Havre, to get more information on their viewpoint.
“This is just to enshrine the way things already operate and work in Montana. This is to make sure we don’t have another late legislation session waste a lot of money going after women’s privacy and their healthcare providers. A lot of bills were passed in the last session that all go overturned as unconstitutional on the basis of privacy, thank you to our state’s constitution. We don’t want to see all of that go down again.”
Organizers for demonstrations against the CI-128 movement were on the air on Saturday, November 2nd. All unedited interviews are available on the hi-line today podcast page, click here to be taken straight there.
