(Hill County) Hill County residents may have received a tax notice in the mail concerning real property.
County Officials are saying that there was a crucial printing error in that document, and New Media Broadcasters spoke with Commissioner Mark Peterson for explanation:
“You received a 2024 tax notice on real property in the mail. There’s a printing error on that document. If you look down on the 2024 first half or full year payment stub, that date should be 11/30 of 2024”
Currently the document reads as though the taxpayer’s payment was due in May, which the County says is because of an issue with their computer system not reading the proper date.
