(Montana) The Rural And Indigenous School-based mental health and Empowerment program received a a $3.75 million Mental Health Professional Demonstration Grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
This program is meant to increase the number of qualified mental health professionals in rural and indigenous school districts across the state of Montana.
Founding member of RAISE Anisa Goforth said the initiative will provide full tuition and a stipend for three cohorts of students admitted to the school psychology specialist program at UM.
The deadline to apply for the first cohort is December 1st, and those students will start during fall semester 2025.
