(Hi-Line) As previously reported by New Media Broadcasters, the Gary Olszewski Memorial Scholarship is being offered to students in Hill, Blaine, or Phillips County pursuing a 2-year trade program.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Jim Bennett, the Gift and Estate Planning Director with the Montana Community Foundation, who says this funding hopes to meet a need in north-central Montana.
“A lot of people in North-Central Montana know there’s a shortage of electricians, plumbers, mechanics, construction folks, nurses. If this opportunity helps a couple of students every year to be able to do that, to go to school for those things, then hopefully a lot of those people will return to their home communities”
