Havre swimming started the season in Kalispell at their December Invitational. The boys’ finished in sixth place with 86 points, while the girls’ took seventh at 100 points.
For the boys’, Brockton Elliot came in fifth in the 200 freestyle, posting a time of 2:06.51. He also finished fourth in the 100 butterfly, coming in at 1:02.55. Dentin DePreist swam a 2:20.80 200 IM, good for fourth place. The boys’ placed sixth in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:55.66.
For the girls’, Olivia Erickson finished fifth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:28.21. Ainsley Courtnage was sixth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 28.34. Moving on to longer distance swims, Liliana Smith had the best individual finish of any Blue Pony swimmer with a 6:29.22 500 freestyle. In the girls’ 200 freestyle relay, Havre came in sixth with a time of 2:07.09.
Havre has two more meets coming up this week, both in Great Falls. It’ll start with the Pre-Relay on Friday at 4pm, followed by the Bob McKinnon Memorial Relay at 9am on Saturday.
