(Havre) In the last two days, the city of Havre experienced three water breaks at the time of writing.
The first came about on Tuesday, February 18th near Cypress Drive. There was also two more during the morning of Wednesday, February 19th on 12th Street and one near 3rd Street and 15th Avenue.
Director of Public Works Trevor Mork was unavailable for comment at this time, but has stated in the past that very cold temperatures often do contribute to water main breaks due to the movement of soil and the lack of pliability in the material of the water mains.
Any time a water main breaks, the public is asked to avoid the area to allow for the fastest and safest repairs possible.
