(Press Release) The Northern Montana Health Care (NMHC) Board of Trustees announces the upcoming retirement of Chief Executive Officer Dave Henry and the appointment of Dr. Kevin Harada as his successor, effective April 1, 2025.
Dave Henry has dedicated 31 years to NMHC, leading the organization through significant growth, including the establishment of the 150-bed Northern Montana Care Center, the Sletten Cancer Center, the development of the Dialysis Unit, the creation of Bear Paw Hospice, and several other large-scale remodeling and expansion ventures. The Board expresses its deep gratitude for his service and leadership.
“I have had the pleasure to be part of this community for more than three decades,” said Henry. “I leave knowing that NMHC is in great hands. The NMHC Staff is invested in this organization and the people it serves, and I am confident in their continued success.” “Dave’s contributions to NMHC and the Hi-Line communities have been immeasurable,” said Rick Stevens, Chairman of the NMHC Board of Trustees. “His leadership has strengthened healthcare access for our region, and we wish him the very best in his well-earned retirement.”
Dr. Kevin Harada, a Havre native, has served as an Internal Medicine physician at NMHC. In addition to being the former Chief of Staff, Dr. Harada is an active member of the medical executive committee and the Board of Trustees. His deep understanding of the region’s healthcare needs and his commitment to the Hi-Line communities position him well for this role.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to continue serving the Hi-Line in a new capacity,” said Dr. Harada. “NMHC is committed to providing high-quality, local healthcare, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated team to carry that mission forward.”
Transition plans are underway for Dr. Harada’s current patients to ensure continuity of care.
