HELENA, Mont. — Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen welcomed students from Turner to the state to the Montana State Capitol last week.
Secretary Jacobsen and staff highlighted the office’s roles and responsibilities, explaining the conduct of Montana elections, registration of new businesses, and her work to increase and protect
public access as a member of the Montana Land Board.
“This was another great week of meeting with Montana students and teachers,” said Secretary Jacobsen. “These students are engaged in learning about our state government, and I applaud the
schools and staff for allowing them to see our government at work firsthand.”
“Thank you for the honor of visiting the Secretary of State’s Office, and best of luck in your future endeavors,” she added.
Secretary Jacobsen provided each student with a copy of the United States and Montana Constitutions and encouraged them to participate in the annual U.S. Constitution Contest each fall.
