Havre track and field has wrapped up its Easter Break rest period. New Media Broadcasters asked head coach Kari Filius for an update on how everyone has been recovering after doing two meets in four days last week.
“The kids are just improving every week it seems like and working towards that,” Filius said. “Trying to get as good as they can towards the end.”
“The kids are doing awesome,” Filius continued. “They’re really having fun and supporting each other, trying to get the best out of each meet that we can.”
“(We are going to) get where we need to be by the end,” Filius said.
The teams are on to the Dawson County meet this week. Filius gave a preview of what is to come for her programs.
“I think we’re pretty good with recovery and allowing those kids to take breaks and have lighter days,” Filius said. “(We gave them) a few days and then we’re going to get back on it.”
“(Getting) into Glendive, we’ll see all Eastern ‘A’ schools again,” Filius continued. “(We’re getting) ready for the next track meet.”
The Dawson County meet in Glendive takes place on Friday.
