MSU-Northern has landed another volleyball commit for the 2025 season. Transfer Kadence Wiggins is going to come in to fill the need at middle hitter. She is originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada and had been playing the last three seasons at Medicine Hat College.
“Kadence is a player the team and I have come to know and respect for her volleyball IQ and athleticism while playing against her over the years while she was a member of Medicine Hat College’s volleyball team,” Skylights coach Jerry Wagner said in a press release. “Kadence has already made a strong impression on the team with her positive personality and her highly accomplished level of play.”
The Skylights always have a chance to go up to Canada and play in spring matches and this year was no different. Northern also tries to scrimmage the Rattlers every season. Wagner was able to scout and find a loophole in the education system that allowed Wiggins to come to the states and exhaust the rest of her eligibility.
She has career stats of 253 kills, a .548 hitting percentage, 27 aces, 118 digs, and 56 blocks.
“I chose MSUN because it allows me to finish my degree and continue my passion for volleyball while doing so,” Wiggins said in the same press release. “The Skylights women’s volleyball team and coach Jerry Wagner have been amazing in guiding me through this transition. I am excited to get to know the tight knit community in Havre and play the rest of my eligibility here!”
Wiggins will complete her nursing studies at Northern when she gets on campus this fall as she gains a master’s degree from her experiences off the court.
