MSU-Northern rodeo hoped to perform in its back-to-back rodeos over the weekend. The Lights got third place in the first rodeo and the Skylights took fourth. The second rodeo was the same result for the Skylights with the Lights moving up to second. The following riders got into the championship short go:
Rodeo No. 1
The stars of the show were Bird and Threeirons, who were third in average for the second rodeo, while becoming champions for the average in both rodeos. Selvidge got third place in calf roping and fifth place in steer wrestling. Kellen Statham and Talan Cummins were sixth place in the team roping competition. Statham also took fifth place in the tie-down roping. Orahood was third place in the goat tying. Dodginghorse did well in the bright lights, placing fourth in the barrel racing.
Northern rodeo closes out the 2025 spring season in Missoula for the University of Montana rodeo on Friday and Saturday.
