Havre) The Havre Northstars and great Falls Chargers “AA” Played one nine inning game on Wednesday night at Legion Field. Great Falls won the slugfest by a final score of 18-11
The two teams combined for 29 runs and 32 hits in the contest. Havre trailed after 3 and a half innings 6 to 2, but scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take an 8-6 lead. In the 6 run inning,, the Northstars collected 6 hits.
Great Falls tied the game in the top of the 6th inning and took the lead for good, 11 to 8 in the top of the 7th inning . Winning by the final of 18-11.
Chasson Mader and Tyson Brandon each collected two hits for the Northstars. Brandon and Quinn Elliott each drove in three runs. Havre’s defense also turned two double plays.
The Northstars used 5 pitchers in the game. Havre is now 3 and 5 on the year and will be back at Legion Field for a North District game against the Great falls Chargers “A” team on Friday night.
First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
