HAVRE, Mont. — The Hill County Health Department confirmed two new measles cases in unvaccinated children, prompting a warning about possible public exposure at the Havre Walmart on Friday, May 23, between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.
Health officials urge anyone who was at the store during that time to check their immunization status and monitor for symptoms, which can appear 7 to 21 days after exposure.
Measles is highly contagious and can cause serious complications, especially in infants, older adults, pregnant people, and those with weakened immune systems. For more information or to report concerns, contact the health department at HCHD@hillcounty.us or 406-400-2415.
