(Banana Lake) The Banana Lake Fire, located four miles north of Plains in Sanders County, has grown to 850 acres in size as of Monday.
Crews say the fire began around May 31st, started by a thus-far unknown cause.
Officials say that the fire is burning open timber, and that a full suppression response is being implemented.
As of now, the fire is marked as being 0% contained, and a new incident management team assumed command on Monday. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
