Havre Man Sentenced to 14 Years for Fentanyl Possession and High-Speed Chase

HAVRE, Mont. — A Havre man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

33-year-old Isaiah Starr Standingrock was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release.

Prosecutors say he led officers on a high-speed chase in August 2023, during which he made threats and discarded items from his vehicle, including a backpack later found to contain fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition.

He pleaded guilty in December 2024.

The case was investigated by the FBI, U.S. Border Patrol, local law enforcement, and prosecuted under the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative to reduce violent crime and drug trafficking.
