(NMB) The Havre Northstars will head North to Canada today (Wednesday) for two more conference games with the Lethbridge Miners, a team Havre just swept at home on Sunday by scores of 12-2 and 16-16. The two teams are the top 2 teams by win percentage in the North District. Havre is currently 14 and 2, Lethbridge is 18-6. New Media Broadcasters talked to Northstars head coach Ryan Divish about the rematch, and he said it will just come down to execution.
“I think we have some tendencies with hitters and stuff like that. But really, when you have two pretty talented teams it just comes down to who executes. It’s not about tricking them or any strategy, it’s just go out and execute. Who gets hits with runners in scoring position.”
Tonight’s double header is scheduled for 5pm. We will have results when they are available.
Currently the top 4 teams in the North are Havre, Lethbridge Miners, Fort MacLeod, and Vauxhall.
The Northstars return to Legion field for two more games versus Fort MacLeod tomorrow. (Thursday) First pitch is 3pm
