(NMB) – From 9 to 14, Frontier Conference football enters new era in 2025.
This is part 6 of the daily realignment brake down series with Montana State-Northern Athletic director Christen Oberquell. Yesterday concluded volleyball with a breakdown of the Conference tournament.
Now the spotlight shifts to Lights and Frontier conference football looking at how the now 14 team league will be structured. Today Oberquell tells us how the league is going to be broken into east and west divisions and who resides in the east alongside MSU-Northern.
“There is big changes and we are going to moving to an east and a west, and in a year or two Bismark State will be adding football as well.” Oberquell said. “So right now with MSU-Northen with be in the east. So, it’ll be us, Bilings, Dickenson, Mayville, Valley City State and Dakota state. One team from central Montana, which will be Montana Tech this year, will spend two years in the east, and MSU-Northern will play Dickenson twice, once at home and once on the road.”
