Havre Northstars and Vauxhall Spurs Split With Wild Scores.

Havre, MT – Sunday afternoon the Northstars took the field for a battle of one vs two in the north district standings. The double header saw flip flop results with Havre losing game one 15-1 and winning game two 11-1.

Game one saw Havre struggle defensively right out of the gate giving up 10 runs in the first inning. At the plate Tommy Lewis knocked in the only RBI for Havre on a fly ball that sent Ezra Pyle to home plate. Vauxhall didn’t score again till the top of the fifth when they scored five runs to end the game early.

In game two the Havre defense stepped up by only giving up one run in the top  of the fourth. The Northstar offense turned things around as well, scoring three runs in the third then four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to end the game with the 10 lead mercy rule.

Chason Mader led Havre in hits with two, while both Colter and Teegan Solomon finished with two RBIs. Quin Elliot pitched all six innings of game two. Elliot finished with three strikeouts, gave up three hits and one run.

The Northstars are back at it again on Wednesday July, 16, against the Lewistown Redbirds in the last home game of the 2025 season. First pitch is at 5p.m.
