Havre, MT – In the last breakdown, Montana State University-Northern Athletic Director Christien Oberquell broke down the fall sports home schedule. Today, Oberquell sheds a spotlight on what the basketball conference schedule entails.
This is part 10 of the frontier conference realignment break down series. Basketball is a major sport at MSU-Northern and the expanded conference will see league play begin almost a month earlier in the season than in past years.
” Basketball is going to have 22 total conference games, so we will have 11 home and 11 away.” Oberquell stated, “Instead of starting after Christmas, we will start the first of December.”
This kind of schedule will reduce non-conference road games that Oberquell says “will help our budget.”
