Havre, MT – More teams, more travel means changes to the budget and travel of Montana State University-Northern Athletic Department.
This is part 13 of the Frontier Conference realignment brake down series with MSU-Northern Athletic Director Christein Oberquell.
On yesterdays breakdown Oberquell explain the game day and tip time shift to Friday, Saturday for basketball. Today MSU-N AD expands on travel and the budget for the basketball and football programs.
“We’re still fiddling around with what to do.” Oberquell said, “More than Likely we will fly into Ohmaha, then fly out of Sou Falls, and then we always got the train to get to Mayville and Valley city and even possibly to Bismarck and Dickenson.”
Travel is always a big factor of college athletics, and it will be even bigger for MSU-Northern this season. That will close the doors on basketball breakdowns.
