Divish on District Tournament.

Havre, MT – Sunday saw a brutal end to the season for the Havre Northstars after two weather delays in the Noth District Tournament.

Havre dropped the unbeaten semifinal to Vauxhall 21-15 after the first delay and then lost the championship game 7-0 when canceled due to weather in the bottom of the fifth.

Head coach of the Northstars, Ryan Divish, spoke with New Media Broadcasters on the frustration the weather delays brought to the weekend tournament.

“I think the biggest thing for our players was the inconsistency on how they handled the weather,” said Divish. “On Saturday they pulled us off the field when there was a lighting strike six to seven miles away. . . but on Sunday in the championship game we had lighting striking within a mile from the park and they kept us out there.”

Through the 5 innings of play in the championship game, Teegan Solomon and Tyson Brandon were the only Nothstars to get a hit. Havre Finished the season with a 38-17-1 record.
