(Havre) – Havre Trails and the Havre Hill County Library have partnered on a new family friendly event. A Story Walk. Children’s Librarian Ashley Verity tells us what this event is.
“A story walk is when we get permission from a publisher to re-print their book on bigger, more legible surfaces, say poster or in this case it’s going to be vinyl yard signs.”
The Story Walk kicks off on Saturday from 10am until 1pm at the LK Devlin Walking Trail across from Tilleman Field. If you cannot make it on Saturday, the Story Walk will be available through September 13th.
The book is Have You Ever Seen a Bear with a Purple Smile?
The Story Walk provides both an opportunity for education and physical activity. It is free and open to the public of all ages, and volunteers will be kicking off the event on Sep. 6th from 10am-1pm with small giveaways and snacks for kids.
For questions about the event, contact Ashley Verity, Children’s Librarian at the Havre-Hill County Library, at 406-265-2123.
