Billings Central Beats Ponies 42-7

(NMB) The Havre High football team was in Billings on Friday night to take on the top ranked Billings Central Rams and were defeated 42-7.

The first score of the game came in the second quarter when the Rams scored on a Howie Martin to Cale Aldrich 13 yard touchdown pass. The Ponies answered with a Griffin Terry to Grady Haney 3 yard touchdown pass and the game was tied at 7. On the ensuing kickoff Billings Central’s William Snell went 90 yards for a touchdown, the extra point was missed and the Rams took a 13 to 7 lead, and then with 1 minute and 24 seconds remaining in the first half Lane Alexander scored on a 3 yard TD run and the Billings Central had a 21-7 lead at the half.

The second half belonged to the Rams as they would score three more times and keep Havre out of the end zone winning by a final score of 42-7

Havre will have their first home game of the year when they host Miles City on Friday September 12. Kickoff is at 7pm and can be heard on KOJM.
