Chinook, MT – Friday night Chinook entered the stadium for game number two, and left Hoon Field with a 64-8 victory.
In week two of class C 8-man football the Chinook Sugarbeeter offense never cold off on a chilly night.
Chinook quarterback Ryan Bell threw for two touchdowns and 86 yards including a long of 57 yards to Jameson Nordboe for a touchdown right before halftime. On the ground Bell rushed for three rushing touchdowns with zero turnovers.
Nordboe finished with 121 yards receiving and one touchdown. Chinook freshman Lane Wicks played running back to start the third quarter and ran it in for touchdown on the Sugerbeeters first second half drive. Wicks then started the fourth quarter at quarterback where he threw a five yard touchdown. When it was all said and done wicks led Chinook in rushing yards with 87 yards and one touchdown.
The Sugarbeeter defense forced three turnovers including a 50 yard pick six from sophomore defensive back, Hayden Berreth. The Sugarbeeters did not give up the score until the fourth quarter on a 3 yard receiving touchdown from junior wide receiver Nash Hough (huff).
Chinook is set to hit the road next for a tough battle against Belt.
