Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Skylights volleyball is now 6-6 overall after picking up their third and fourth win in a row over the weekend.
Skylights volleyball won at Dickinson State, who was receiving votes in the top 25, by way of a fifth set comeback going on a 9-1 run to with the set 16-14.
Northern then defeated Bismark State three sets to zero on Saturday.
Head coach of the skylights, Jerry Wagner, says that it takes a special to win how they won on Friday.
“Only as a team was really getting closer and strong together could we have pulled that out. We had to go on a 9-1 run to win that in the fifth set, so you have to be getting closer as a team and have a lot of believers in order to do that and I do, I’m very fortunate to have the players I do on this team.” Said Coach Wagner. “Obviously we were pretty fired up about that, and we carried that momentum into Bismark State in the first time we played them, and it showed again.”
The skylights are back in Havre this week to take on Dakota State on Friday, September 26, at 7p.m. and Bellevue University on Saturday, September 27, at 5p.m.
