Havre, MT – MSU-Northern Volleyball will round out the first half of conference play this weekend with battles at Montana Western and Montana Tech.
The Skylights volleyball program is coming off a 1-1 weekend with a win over Dakota state and a loss to No. 5 Bellevue University.
With a 6-3 conference record Northern is the highest placed team in the Frontier Conference standings that is not ranked or receiving votes in the national top25.
Head Coach Jerry Wagner spoke to where his teams focus is this week. “We’re getting ready for Western. It’s been a while since we have beat them at their place but we can. They’ve got two years that they’ve been in the nation tournament in a row. ” Coach Wagner said. “We can only control how we practice and prepare for them this week and all indications are that we are going to be ready to compete at a high level and take that to the floor on this road trip.”
the Skylights hit the court Friday October 3, at 7p.m. in dillion against Montana Western. Northern then travels to Butte Saturday, October 4, for a bout against Montana Tech at 5p.m.
