Havre, Mt – MSU-Northern skylights volleyball currently hold sole position of third place in the Frontier conference standings and are receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll.
The skylights have won five out of their last six matches including a current four game winning streak. They hold a 11-5 conference record, just one game ahead of Dakota state.
Head coach of the Skylights Jerry Wagner says there 3 main reasons his team has been playing so well as of late.
“Something we hang our hat on and doing very well is serving. Our passing has allowed us, you can see in our hitting percentage numbers are we are hitting a nice percentage and holding the other team down. The thing that’s really skyrocketed is our defense. Those three things Serving, our serve receive and our defense. Our defense for our team for digs per set is now number one in the NAIA.” Coach Wagner stated.
The skylights will host Bismark state and Dickinson State this Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. and 5p.m.
