Havre, MT – Havre High Blue Pony football will end the season on the road at Laurel this Friday night and look to close the season on a positive note.
The Blue Ponies were knocked out of the playoffs last week with their loss at home to East Helena.
With 12 seniors the Blue Ponies had high expectations for themselves, and for the first time in head coach Jake Eldridge’s career at the helm, they will fall short of those expectations and the playoffs.
Coach Eldridge told New Media Broadcaster what his message to the team will be in the last week of the season.
“Season aside wins and losses aside and what the record is doesn’t really quantify who they are as a senior class. These guys came in four years ago when the cupboard was pretty bare and they have won a lot of football games, and they have taken the program to a whole new level. So really that’s the message, is thanking them for what they have done and for everything they have shown for to school and this community and how proud we are of them.” Coach Eldridge said regarding his senior class.
The Blue Ponies take on one loss Laurel on the road Friday night with kickoff at 7p.m. on KOJM.
