Havre, Mt – Lights football set for another afternoon kickoff, this time with the Battlin Bears of Rocky Mountain College.
The MSU-Northern lights football program is coming off a heartbreaking road loss to Mayville State last week on the road 21-17. The loss was Northern’s sixth of the season with only one win.
Rocky Mountain is entering this game after back-to-back wins over Valley City State (31-21) and Dickinson State (28-21) to sit at 2-4 on the season.
These teams met twice in 2024 with Rocky Mountain winning the first match up in Billings (27-12) and Northern winning round two in Havre (19-13).
Offensive coordinator Dave Sanau says the key for his offense on Saturday afternoon is all about not committing mistakes.
“Mistakes, Mistakes are what got us last week. Mental Mistakes and errors. Penalties really killed us, we really hammered them I thought last week, and it was mental mistakes that got us so we gotta clean that up.”
