Havre, MT – Havre High volleyball’s campaign towards a divisional title ended in a heartbreaking 5 set loss to Billings Central in the championship game.
It was a back-and-forth match from start to finish but even with the loss, the Blue Ponies will be the two seed out of the east at the state tournament.
Head coach of the Blue Ponies Cassie Kruger praised her team’s effort to fight for every point.
“We were just trying to scrap out every point. The girls played extremely hard in a very daunting environment, and I think that they came through and pushed themselves very very well. The defense was there, the blocks were there, the offense was executing, It was just a very hard fought battle.”
Moving on to the state tournament coach Kruger’s team will take on Polson in the first round on Wednesday at 2pm
