Havre, MT – MSU-Northern Lights basketball is looking to improve as they look to host first home conference double header of the season.
Lights basketball is 4-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play after dropping both games against Bellevue and Dakota State. Head coach of the Lights Shawn Huse said that he has a lot of new faces in the locker room this year, and getting those players in sync with each other on the court may be the area his team needs to improve in the most.
“I think just working on everything. Again, we’ve got a lot of new guys a lot of returners playing bigger roles this year. Then some returners that had great experience last year and trying to mesh all of that together and a lot of learning on the job. I just think there is a lot of polishing that needs to be done on both ends of the floor.”
The Lights will take on Dickinson State in the home opener Saturday December 6 at 7p.m. and follow it up with an afternoon battle against Bismark State on Sunday at 2p.m.
