Havre, MT – The Havre High Blue Pony boys’ basketball team fell in season opener at East Helena Saturday night 71-43.
head coach of the Ponies WaLynn Burgess told New Media Broadcasters he was proud of his team’s effort despite the first game jitters.
“First game jitters, we are up early, they make a little run towards the end of the first quarter, we’re down nine going into halftime. Third quarter we kind of let it get away from us a little bit having some defensive breakdowns. It’s one of those ones where we go back to the drawing board and get on film and learn.”
The Blue Ponies head to Billings this weekend for battles with Lockwood and Laurel Friday and Saturday.
