HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday, Havre’s annual Living History Day was celebrated throughout town. Chairman of the Fort Assiniboine Preservation Association Ron Vandenboom says that the day went very well, with about 100 people taking their tour. The tours raised about $777 and they raised about $171 in free will donations for the lunch they served. Their raffle drawing also helped them to collect almost $1,500.
All the money raised will go towards the Fort Assiniboine Preservation Association to help with the stabilization and preservation of the buildings. Vandenboom also said they want to make their interpretive center ADA accessible by adding ramps and updating the bathrooms.
