Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northerns football schedule has been released. Here is what Lights fans need to know.
Season Opens at Carroll College, August 27, at 6p.m. this is a return trip of last year’s season opener.
The home road pattern goes as follows: Road, home, road, home, road, Bye, road, home, road, home, road, home.
The Lights will host five home games and make six road trips for an 11-game schedule. They will open the season on the road and end at home.
Once again Northern will have a home and home with the Dickinson State Blue Hawks. The Lights will be at Dickinson State September 12 and will host the Blue Hawks on Halloween.
It will be another daunting schedule for the Lights this upcoming season. Six of the 10 opponents were ranked at one point in the 2025 season (Dakota St, Dickinson St, Montana Tech, College of Idaho, Montana Western, Carroll).
The Lights week four opponent will be College of Idaho at Tilleman Field. C of I made the National Semifinal last season after winning the Frontier Conference western division and defeating Carroll and Montana Tech in the post season.
