(Malta) The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office says that on Thursday June 18th they received a 911 call regarding a possible deceased body at the State Park boat
ramp at Lake Nelson. The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office Undersherrif, deputies and the Phillips County ambulance responded. Upon arrival, it was determined that
the male subject was deceased. The deceased male was positively identified and determined to be from the Billings area. out of respect for the family, his identity
is not being released at this time. Due to the circumstances presented, the State Park boat ramp was temporarily closed for several hours while the scene was
processed. The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are actively investigating the incident and that investigation is ongoing.
