(NMB) The Hill County Democratic Party, in accordance with party bylaws and state statutes, will be hosting a nominating convention for Hill County Commissioner District #3 to appear on the general election ballot in November and serve the remainder of the term. The convention will be held Tuesday July 14th at 5:30pm at Beaver Creek Perk. The event is open to the public, however only Hill County Democratic Central Committee precinct representatives will be eligible to vote for the nominee. Perry Atchison was recently appointed to the position by Commissioners Strissel and Williams but will only serve until December 31st.
Hill County Republicans and Hill County Libertarians have not announced a date for their nominating convention yet.
