(Havre) – As Part of the 2026 Great Northern Fair, the Montana Farmers Union will be hosting a Farmers Share event on Saturday July 18th. Raynee (Ray-Knee) Gullickson Hi-Line Membership Ambassador for the Montana Farmers Union explains the intent of their Farmers Share events.
“Our farmer’s share education events bring awareness to the fact that when consumers buy a cheeseburger for eight dollars, farmers and ranchers are only seeing about seventy-five cents of that return.”
On Saturday, The Montana Farmers Union will have a booth outside the 4-H Chuckwagon from 1pm until 3pm. Fair goers can learn more about the Farmer’s Share of food and receive a coupon for a seventy five cent cheeseburger at the Chuckwagon between those hours. The Montana Farmers Union will reimburse Hill County 4-H for the entire cost of each discounted cheeseburger between those hours.
