GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte last week joined local leaders and Amazon executives in Great Falls to cut the ribbon on the company’s newest delivery station in Montana.
The 35,000-square-foot facility is Amazon’s sixth delivery station in Montana and currently employs 50 Montanans with expectations to hire more. Since 2010, Amazon has invested more than $200 million in Montana, creating more than 800 full- and part-time jobs across the state and supporting more than 600 indirect jobs through construction, logistics, and professional services.
The new facility will support Amazon’s “last-mile” delivery network, receiving packages from larger regional fulfillment centers and preparing them for final delivery to customers within a 50-mile radius. Gov. Gianforte has previously joined Amazon for the ribbon cuttings at the delivery stations in Missoula, Billings, and Belgrade.
