Havre, MT – The Montana State University-Northern Lights football program, and specifically the offense, have undergone significant change prior to the 2026 season.
At the top of that change was the Lights new offensive coordinator, Coach K, coming from Sacramento state where he coached wide receivers. One thing, however, has not changed for Lights.
Isaiah Woodley is the consistent pillar for Northern’s offense. In 2025 Woodley led the team in receiving touchdowns with 3 before an injury ended his season just three games in. Coach K shared what kind of value the senior brings to his pass heavy offense.
“I’ve been a receivers coach for a few years now and I’ve coached some really really good receivers and Isaiah Woodley is just as good as any of them. He is a stud football player.”
“It’s no coincidence that you see what’s happening on the field with him because he is the hardest worker. I’m blessed to be coaching him because it’s always good when your best player is your hardest worker.” Coach K told NMB Sports.
Woodley has caught 5 touchdowns through three games and 24 total receptions for 361 yards, including an 88-yard touchdown reception against Montana Western in week 2.
Isaiah’s 88-yard touchdown was part of 232 yards to claim the most receiving yards in a single game in Lights program history. He also tied the record for the most receiving touchdowns in a game with 3 against the Bulldogs that same day.
Woodley and the Lights offense will hit Tilleman field this weekend to engage with a top team in the country in the College of Idaho Coyotes. Kickoff will be at 12p.m. (noon) and you can listen live on KPQX.
